A similar smartwatch is going to be launched soon in India, which is medically approved smartwatch for remote patient monitoring. CardiacSense has received medical grade certification from US-FDA and CDSCO in India before launching in India. Explore Health has achieved a major milestone in the form of CardiacSense certification.
Homegrown MedTech solutions provider Xplore Health announced that it received approval from the Indian Regulatory Authority CDSCO (Central Drug Standard Control Organisation) under the Health Ministry of India for its aspirational medical smartwatch
The approval came ahead of its commercial launch in collaboration with Israeli Medtech company CardiacSense Ltd. The product has already been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is the only medical watch to demonstrate accuracies higher than FDA-set Thresholds, making it one of the only approved Medical Watch, according to the company.
After approval from CDSCO, Cardiacense will be available in the Indian markets as well, however, the availability and pricing details have not been revealed by the company.
On this achievement of CardiacSense, Pankaj Balwani, Founder and CEO, Explore Health, said, “The number of heart-related deaths is on the rise in India and across the globe, and in many cases, early warning signs go unnoticed. Most of the people ignore these symptoms and continue with the old lifestyle considering them as normal problems. CardiacSense is designed to ensure that one can constantly monitor their vital signs and receive notifications whenever the watch detects high or low heart rates or arrhythmias.”
Features like Live ECG will be available in CardiacSense Medical Watch. The company also claims that accurate reports will be received regarding the heart rate. The Cardiacsense medical watch can also help people who are at risk of stroke.
The Cardiacsense is capable of monitoring atrial fibrillation (Afib). Cardiacsense will now be made available in over 40 countries including the USA, all European countries, Australia, New Zealand and many other South American countries.
